Transportation Needed: A car
How To Get There: Drive past the Makena Surf condos on your right and take
the first street on your right. this is Makena Rd. Drive a
couple hundred yards and you will se a small graveyard on
your right. Park on the mountain side of road and walk down
trail to entry.
When To Snorkel Or
Dive: Year round, but be aware of waves in
the summer. Also, all site are better in the morning before the
wind kicks up.
Where To Snorkel Or
Dive: Follow the reef on your left side.
What You May Find: A moderate amount of
reef fish. There are a couple of caves with a white tip reef
shark. DON'T try the caves unless you are an experienced
cave diver. A cool archway and a lot of turtles.
Site Hazards:
Occasional high surf in summer. Getting lost or wedged in
the caves.
