OVERVIEW |

Beachside of
the entrance to the Maui Lu Resort are two
totem poles brought from Vancouver Island
and erected to mark the area of Captain
George Vancouver's mooring when he visited
Maui in three successive years (1792-94).
Captain Vancouver was a former member of
Captain Cook's crew who became an advisor to
Kamehameha the Great. |
