OVERVIEW |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Hana Bay Beach
is located right in Hana town. It is a
medium sized beach where many of the local
population with come to swim and have
picnics and just hang out.
This beach is right next to the local pier
and is surrounded by by a large mound
or hill really giving a a picturesque look.
Although Hamoa Beach down the road is a
nicer beach. This one is fun too.
Because it is a bit protected being in a
bay, you and your kids can feel a little
safer swimming even during the higher surf
season. You can also find nice snorkeling or
scuba diving out by the point when there is
no surf. The kids will have a good time
boogie boarding the fun little waves here
too.
Located directly across the street is a
bathroom, and picnic tables. There is also a
local food stand for a quick bite or lunch. |

PLEASE NOTE |
|
| |
|
|
| |
While
Hawaii's beaches can bring much enjoyment,
it is always a good practice to use common
sense while visiting them. Please be aware
of the wave & wind conditions before going
into the water. Mornings are usually best
for swimming, snorkeling or diving. Have
respect for the strength of the waves and be
aware that high surf can come up at any
time. NEVER turn your back to the ocean.
Be careful when exploring any rocky
shorelines. Waves can crash on the rocks and
knock you over easily, and the rocks may
also be sharp when walking on them.
When snorkeling or scuba diving, please have
respect for ocean life, and remember that
the coral reef is alive too. Avoid standing
on or touching if at all possible. |
