Description:
This historic Oahu tour will
take you on a patriotic journey
from the site of the Japanese
attack on Pearl Harbor to the
signing of the armistice aboard
the USS Missouri. You will board
the Navy launch for a trip into
history across Pearl Harbor to
the Arizona Memorial. and
explore the USS Missouri, the
last battleship built by the US
Navy, which served from World
War II through Desert Storm. The
Missouri was the site of the
1945 Japanese surrender to the
Allies. Your historic journey
will continue with historic
attractions of downtown Honolulu
including Kawaiahao Church,
Iolani Palace, the only royal
palace on American soil, State
Library and Archives, the famous
statue of King Kamehameha,
Honolulu Hale and the Mission
Houses Museum. Before they take
you back to Maui you will
experience the serenity of
Punchbowl National Cemetery of
the Pacific and Court of the
Missing.
Pick Up Information: On
Maui you have the choice to meet
the tour at Kahului Airport, or,
for an additional charge of
$36.00 per person, you can
include hotel-airport-hotel
transportation.

Airport approximately 7:00 am

Restrictions:
In order to be in compliance
with FAA regulations they
require the full names of all
persons on tour with air
transportation. This name must
be exactly as it appears on your
valid, government-issued photo
identification. Air carriers
will deny boarding if the
passenger name, as shown does
not match name on air ticket. If
passenger is denied boarding due
to non-compliance with this
requirement there will be no
refund.
Shirt and shoes required to
board the Arizona Memorial.
Swimsuits are not permitted. Due
to the terrorist attacks on the
United States and the location
of the USS Arizona Memorial on
an active military base, strict
security measures are currently
being enforced. No purses,
handbags, fanny packs,
backpacks, camera bags, diaper
bags, luggage or other items
that offer concealment are
allowed in the Visitor Center or
on the Memorial. Strollers with
pockets and compartments must be
empty before being allowed in
the Visitor Center. Personal
cameras are allowed. Do not
leave valuables on the bus.

The recent eruptions of Hawaii's
Kilauea Volcano in Volcanoes
National Park have captured the
world's imagination. This fully
narrated Big Island excursion
features the closest approach to
recent lava flows allowed by
Civil Defense and local
authorities. Explore Volcanoes
National Park, Jagger Museum,
Thurston Lava Tube, Kilauea Iki
Crater. You may have the
opportunity to take a closer
look at the lava by hiking out
to the lava flow, if it is
within one mile of Chain of
Craters Road and conditions are
deemed safe by National Park
Service.

Restrictions:
This tour can involve hiking of
up to a mile to see the lava
flow. Wear sturdy, closed-toe
shoes as this tour traverses
sharp, uneven lava surfaces.
They discourage young children,
passengers with asthma, or other
respiratory conditions to avoid
potential health problems due to
exposure to fumes. All
passengers are required to sign
a release of liability form.
They cannot predict weather or
lava viewing conditions. Lava
viewing features can change
hourly. They do not guarantee
sighting of active lava flows.
Surface lava may be present but
may not be viewable due to
environmental conditions or time
constraints. When lava enters
the ocean, intense heat can
produce a plume cloud with
dangerous and potentially life
threatening toxic gases, super
heated steam and hydrochloric
acid. Airborne particles are a
hazard to your eyes and lungs.
Leave area at once. If inland
flows are present, and you use
caution you may have an
opportunity to view fresh lava
up close. Follow marked routes
and your guides instructions.
Molten lava is 2000 degrees F.
Keep a safe distance and never
go into areas where your escape
route may be cut off. Do not
throw objects into lava as this
can cause burns from spattering
lava or eye injuries from
airborne volcanic glass. BE
AWARE, STAY ALERT, USE CAUTION,
DO NOT TAKE CHANCES.
