Directions:
From Lahaina, travel north on
Honoapiilani Highway (Hwy. 30) past
Napili. Turn left onto Office Road
into the Kapalua Resort. Turn right
onto Village Road. Kapalua Adventure
Center is the second building on the
right. The trails are located on
private, community land and can only
be accessed by the Kapalua Resort
shuttle (free). The resort shuttle
departs from and returns to the
Adventure Center several times a day
(approximately every hour and a half
starting at 8 am with the last
shuttle to the trail head at 3:30
pm). |

This up a back hike combines an interesting
interpretive trail with ridgeline views of
the West Maui Mountain Range and Puu Kukui
Preserve. You'll travel through an 80 year
old arboretum of trees and plants collected
from around the world, then hike up Honolua
Ridge for sweeping views into the Puu Kukui
Watershed Preserve, the largest private
preserve in Hawaii. In the distance you'll
see the picturesque Honolua and Mokule'ia
Bays along the Pacific Ocean and nearby
Molokai Island........ |
