OVERVIEW |
|
| |
|
|
| |
This 122-acre state park is a jewel. Coastal
cliffs, stone arches, lava fields, black
sand beaches, blowholes, and ancient
Hawaiian temples are part of the highlights
of this stunning coastal route, just north
of Hana. Parts of this trail follow the
original King's Highway, or Piilani Trail,
that once circled Maui, connecting villages
and sacred spots. The trail, comprised of
smooth lava stepping stones, was
commissioned by King Piilani, a 14th century
Maui chief....... |
