The 4.5-star Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa
- The Waldorf-Astoria Collection is a
legendary, award-winning resort. Located on
40 beautifully landscaped acres in the
center of the Grand Wailea community,
fronting Wailea Beach, considered one of the
best beaches in America. The Grand Wailea
Resort has been an AAA Four Diamond Award
winner from 2003 to the present and is
listed in the 2007 Condé Nast Traveler
Gold List of the worlds best places to stay.
For elegance, for romance, for service - it
would be hard to find a more perfect resort
on one of the world's most perfect islands.
The pools at the Grand Wailea are the most
spectacular in the islands. The 2,000 foot
long Wailea Canyon Activity Pool has nine
free-form pools at six levels, beginning at
40 feet and dropping to sea level and ending
at the beach. There are four jungle pools, a
whitewater rapids slide, four tile slides, a
Tarzan pool with rope swing, the world's
only water elevator, Scuba Diving Pool, six
waterfalls, three Jacuzzis, sauna, caves, an
infant pool, baby beach and the swim-up
Grotto Bar. The poolside Volcano Bar serves
salads, sandwiches, exotic drinks and
smoothies. The elegant Hibiscus Pool is for
adults only, 18 years and older and offers
stunning views of the Pacific, two Jacuzzis
and total relaxation.
There are eight dining spots and bars at the
Grand Wailea, offering a variety of cuisines
from fine dining to casual.
Humuhumunukunukuapua'a, fortunately referred
to as Humu Humu, is a beautiful floating
seafood restaurant named after Hawaii's
official state fish. Featuring Island
cuisine with Hawaiian and Polynesian
influences the restaurant is extremely
popular. Kincha features contemporary
Japanese cuisine and has one of Maui's best
sushi bars. The Grand Dining Room features a
breakfast buffet that offers a large amount
of items as well as ala carte selections.
Bistro Molokini has an exhibition kitchen
with wood burning oven and a great blend of
Island and California cuisine. For some
great sandwiches and cappuccino, check out
Café Kula, a casual gourmet deli with lots
of selections. The Botero Gallery Bar is a
very stylish lounge offering cocktails,
appetizers and island music, open evenings.
The award-winning Spa Grande is the largest
spa in Hawaii at 50,000 sq. ft. With 40
treatment rooms, Spa Grande features the
unique Termé Wailea Hydrotherapy, an
experience one should not miss. The spa's
Fitness Center has a large amount of
equipment including impact-free elliptical
trainers as well as a top-of-the-line Weight
Room. Camp Grande is a 20,000 sq.ft.
"Children's Resort" for children age five to
12 with their own restaurant, craft room,
theatre and more. There are also two rooms
for children four and under when accompanied
by an adult and activities for teens.
The Wailea Golf Club is just a short
distance away and features three 18-hole
championship courses, including Wailea Gold
Course, Wailea Emerald Course and the "Grand
Lady of Wailea", the Wailea Blue. Considered
one of the finest tennis facilities in the
state, the Wailea Tennis Club features 11
courts with Plexipave courts with three lit
for night play.
There is a Resort Fee $25, plus tax per
guest room per nights. It includes:
