The 1.5-Star Aston Maui Lu is a moderately
priced budget oceanfront hotel in Kihei on
the south side of the island. Guests can
walk through Maui's oldest coconut grove on
the Maui Lu's 28 acres of property. The
property's rustic feel and two secluded
beach coves add up to a great vacation
value. Do not expect the amenities that are
common at large hotels and resorts. Instead
expect peaceful, rustic surroundings and
perhaps a look back at what Hawaii once was.
At check-in, each family member ages 12
years and younger, receives a ResortQuest
Kids Stay, Play & Eat Free ID card, lanyard
and flyer detailing participating
establishments and their offers for each
island. Guests will also receive a welcome
amenity of bottled water and an Aloha Deals
Booklet with hundreds of dollars savings on
dining, shopping, entertainment and golf,
one coupon booklet per room.
Property amenities include a large
freshwater pool shaped like the island of
Maui, sun deck, complimentary tennis on two
courts, two private beach coves, Activity
Desk, laundry facilities, complimentary
parking, security, volleyball court,
horseshoe pit, barbeque grills and wireless
Hot Spot in the lobby area. There is also a
year-round children's program, Camp
Ka'anapali, for children ages 5 to 12.
Activities include exploring a beach, games,
sand art, Hawaiian arts & crafts and so much
more. The camp is located at the nearby
ResortQuest Ka'anapali Shores (fee).
There is no on-site restaurant on the
property but the Kihei area has many good
restaurants you can try out. But with the
barbeque grills and your mini refrigerator,
you could get some steaks and a few
inexpensive plastic plates and grill up some
great food to eat on your lanai or patio. |
