OVERVIEW |
|
| |
|
|
| |
The beach is considered the finest in the
Ka'anapali area with over a half mile of
golden sand that seems to embrace the
Hawaiian atmosphere of the 3.5-Star Royal
Lahaina Resort. Among its 27 acres, guests
are encouraged to stroll through the winding
paths of the lush, tropical gardens, where
the newly renovated cottages are. The casual
ambiance of the resort lives up to its
reputation as a laid-back sanctuary. There
are green lawns with plumeria trees
throughout the property providing shady
areas with lounge chairs to enjoy the view,
read a book or just contemplate the beauty
of the Royal Lahaina Resort.
All the rooms in the Tower have been
beautifully renovated, with first class
fixtures, custom made teakwood furnishings
and unbelievably comfortable bedding. The
Cottages on the property have also just
finished a multi million dollar enhancement
project and are perfect for a family or a
couple who want a different vacation
experience.
Property amenities include three swimming
pools, whirlpool spa, complimentary scuba
lessons, wedding services, jogging paths, a
poolside bar and even an oceanside massage
available under a thatched roof by the pool.
For the active traveler, the Royal Lahaina
Tennis Ranch has been named among the
world's finest tennis facilities (fee), with
a 3,500-seat stadium and ten surrounding
courts (6 lighted for night play). A pair of
championship Ka'anapali Golf Courses (Royal
& Kai Courses) are adjacent to the hotel,
with resort guests enjoying special
discounts. You can rent sea kayaks, boogie
boards, catamarans, wind surfboards, rafts,
snorkel sets and more at the Beach Activity
Center and on Ka'anpali Beach.
The Royal Lahaina has a nice range of casual
and fine dining, including the Royal Ocean
Terrace Restaurant overlooking the pool,
gardens and ocean with both indoor and
outdoor dining, for breakfast buffet, ala
carte lunch and dinner. A popular spot for
cocktails, live Hawaiian music nightly,
appetizers and fantastic sunsets is the
poolside Royal Ocean Terrace Lounge and for
retro Hawaiian ambiance, check out Don the
Beachcomber's tiki bar, which is open in the
evening. Right past the entrance is an old
fashioned ice cream parlor and coffee shop
featuring homemade deli sandwiches and with
WiFi internet access. Basil Tomatoes Italian
Grille, specializing in Northern Italian
cuisine, is just up the driveway from the
resort. There is an emphasis on fresh
grilled seafood and grilled meats served in
a cozy intimate setting with gorgeous views
of the sunsets. The resort also features an
extremely popular Luau nightly with
wonderful Polynesian entertainment,
including a fire dancer, that many visitors
say is the best on the island.
At the Royal Lahaina Resort you can be as
active as you want, play golf or tennis,
learn to surf or kayak. Or you can enjoy
peaceful moments watching the surf, the
sunsets and the stars. It's a great place
for families, couples and anyone else who
wants to soak up the ambiance that is
Hawaii. The staff is truly welcoming and
helpful, the grounds are lovely, the
cottages are charming and the Tower rooms
are stunning with views, whether of the
mountains or the ocean, will take you breath
away. It's not as glitzy as some resorts,
but if you want to feel the "old Hawaii",
you'll no doubt find it here. |
