OVERVIEW |
|
| |
|
|
| |
The 3-star Ka'anapali
Beach Hotel has won the award of being the
Most Hawaiian Hotel in all the islands. They
also are a Gold List Award winner in the
Best Places to Stay in the Conde Nast
Traveler Magazine's Readers Choice poll and
voted the #1 Best Value in Hawaii by Travel
& Leisure Magazine. Prestigious awards for a
very special independent hotel.
But if you are looking for glitz and
glitter, bathrobes and spas, this might not
be the hotel for you. But if you are looking
for excellent value, comfortable rooms, warm
hospitality and a sense of the Hawaiian
spirit of aloha, then the Ka'anapali Beach
Hotel is the place to stay.
The hotel is located on the widest part of
world-famous Ka'anapali Beach, a magnificent
stretch of soft, white sand that seems to go
on forever. Only 500 yards from the hotel is
Pu'u Keka'a, or Black Rock, considered one
of the very best places for snorkeling on
the island and also to see Hawaiian Green
Sea Turtles. The Ka'anapali Beach Hotel's
grounds are tropical, lush and just
delightful to stroll through by yourself or
you can take a free tour. There is a
whale-shaped pool, not very large, but steps
away is the really big pool known as the
Pacific and generally that is why so many
millions of people come to Hawaii, so the
size of a pool seems rather irrelevant. It's
still a great spot to cool off from an
active day exploring the island.
The hotel has two restaurants including the
Tiki Terrace Restaurant, serving breakfast
and dinner and the Ka'anapali Mixed Plate
Restaurant, featuring buffets for breakfast,
lunch and dinner. Children 5 years and
younger eat free when ordering from the
children's menu and accompanied by a paying
adult at both restaurants. There is also the
poolside Tiki Grill, serving cooked to order
grilled items and the Tiki Bar specializing
in tropical cocktails.
The Ka'anapali Beach Hotel hosts a
complimentary Ohana Welcome Breakfast Mon.
through Sat. for all guests on their 1st or
2nd morning of arrival. They also have a
free kids program for children 12 years and
younger called "Aloha Passport for Kids"
that includes some great things to do and
goodies. There is a free Hula Show every
evening followed by dancing under the stars
and three restaurants to choose from,
including their flagship Tiki Terrace
Restaurant featuring Hawaii Regional
cuisine.
All and all it would be difficult to find a
hotel that offers everything the Ka'anapali
Beach Hotel does at such reasonable prices.
It's a lovely property, filled with charm
and that elusive aloha spirit that is the
heart and soul of Hawaii. The hotel is 80%
nonsmoking and 20% smoking in accordance
with Hawaii state law. |
