OVERVIEW |
|
| |
|
|
| |
The
Outrigger 3-star Maui Eldorado feels much
more like a home than a vacation resort. The
spacious apartments, along with the many
trees throughout the low rise complex,
create both a sense of privacy and openness.
The resort is surrounded on two sides by the
Royal Course (the more famous of the areas
two championship golf courses) providing
green-belt isolation from neighboring
resorts. The location, on a gentle slope
overlooking all of Ka'anapali Beach Resort,
is truly beautiful and just a five minute
walk to their private beach cabana. A two
night minimum stay is required all year
round.
When checking in, guests receive a packet of
three postcards, one packet per room.
Postcards From Paradise will be mailed by
the Outrigger at no cost to anywhere in the
world. Additional postcards may be purchased
at the Reception Desk, which also will be
mailed at no cost. With a minimum three
night stay, children, 5 to 10 years of age
(2 maximum) are given a free Island Explorer
Kit at check-in. Each Island Explorer Kit
includes a Friends of the Reef Adventure
Guide/Let's Explore Hawaii Guide, colorful
backpack, sunglasses, pen and binoculars.
Property amenities include three pools; one
large with a spacious sun deck and barbeque
area and two small pools providing guests
with an alternate to the beach. There is
also complimentary wireless internet access
in the lobby and pool deck, child care
referral, Concierge/Activities Desk, parking
(fee), laundry/dry cleaning, luggage storage
and more. There are two championship golf
courses a short distance away and a Fitness
Center just a 3-minute walk.
The beach front cabana consists of two
large, airy rooms with a full kitchen.
Complimentary towels and beach backrests are
handed out by an attendant. Showers and
restrooms are behind the towel stand. Along
the cabana front runs a large sun deck with
lounge chairs. A short walk along the beach
brings you to Black Rock, Ka'anapali Beach's
famous lava promontory, a sacred place for
ancient Hawaiians and a spectacular
snorkeling spot. If you do not want to walk
to the beach, the resort has complimentary
golf-cart shuttle service.
This is a beautifully maintained property
with many amenities that are not always
found in much more expensive hotels. All the
comforts of home, but with a tropical twist
of gentle trade winds, swaying palm trees,
walking along the beach as the sun sets and
the unforgettable smell of flowers in the
air. |
