The 3-star
Aston at Papakea Resort is an oceanfront property
with 13 acres of lush tropical gardens,
tranquil Koi ponds, coconut palms, expansive
lawns and, of course, beautiful tropical
sunsets. Located a few miles from Lahaina,
it is a relaxing haven featuring Studios,
One, Two and Three Bedroom Suites with full
kitchens. Surrounding the resort are
convenience stores, restaurants, shops and a
full service grocery store. Like all the
islands, except Oahu, there is no public
transportation, so a car is a necessity for
any sightseeing.
At check-in, each family member ages 12
years and younger, receives a Aston
Kids Stay, Play & Eat Free ID card, lanyard
and flyer detailing participating
establishments and their offers for each
island. Guests will also receive a Two for
One free Luau certificate with the purchase
of one adult ticket and an Aloha Deals
Booklet with hundreds of dollars savings on
dining, shopping, entertainment and golf,
one coupon booklet per room.
The resort has two ocean-view splash
swimming pools, sun decks and two jet spas.
There are 12 barbeque grill and picnic
areas, two complimentary 12-hole putting
greens, complimentary tennis on three
lighted courts and complimentary WiFi
throughout the property. The resort also
offers complimentary yoga and swimmercize
classes as well as an introductory surfing
lesson with more advanced surfing lessons
available for a fee.
Other property amenities include
complimentary parking, shuffleboard courts,
24-hour front desk, dry cleaning service,
security guard, guest activities desk,
sauna, year-round children's program, Camp
Ka'anapali, available at a nearby companion
property and at that same property, a
Fitness Center (fee.)
While these is no restaurant on site, guests
have signing privileges at the companion
hotel's Beach Club Restaurant, a casual
restaurant located poolside with open air
and indoor dining, serving breakfast, lunch
and dinner daily. Whaler's Village is only
about one mile away and offers a selection
of restaurant, or you can go further afield
and explore the cuisine at one of Maui's
award-winning restaurants.
For those who want to take advantage of the
fully equipped kitchen, there is a Costco
near the airport and two of Hawaii's main
supermarkets, Safeway and Foodland are in
the Lahaina area where you can stock up on
items for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner.
The money you save on just breakfast alone
would let you take an extra excursion, or
perhaps splurge for a very special dinner at
one of those award-winning restaurants.
This is a lovely property, with beautifully
maintained grounds, wonderful friendly
staff, ideally located and a very popular
